About Us

Connie Doe has been working in the bodywork/healing field for 6 years. She is a survivor of domestic violence and is now thriving. Her mission and passion in life is help women that have experienced trauma, become healthy strong courageous women that are flourishing.

Connie is a certified Reflexologist, yoga instructor, BodyTalk Practitioner and certified TIMBo facilitator. She intuitively integrates all of these modalities when she works with women.

She is working towards creating a mentoring program for women that have lived with domestic violence. The hope is it will allow women a safe platform to talk about the abuse they have or are experiencing and find a light to know there is a way out, and an opportunity to heal.

With all the tools in her tool box, along with her sister, there is hope of creating a healing center for women to become whole and follow their path with heart.

She is often found on her bike, in her garden, or on her yoga mat.

She is blessed with three beautiful daughters and three magical grandbabies.

New Information for our September Trip

Hello friends,

Here is an update to those who have shown interest in " The Women's Wisdom Journey" which is coming up on September 22nd - 25th. The beauty and sacredness of the San Juan River is awaiting us.

We have the great fortune of having Kay Harris's lifetime experience of river running and knowledge of the magic of Southern Utah to guide us along the river. There will be space open for daily practice of breath work, yoga, movement, chanting and hiking sacred ruins to help release stuck energy patterns, gain skills to better listen to our bodies and to learn to hold the space needed for healing.

Included are some important travel and financial details to help make your trip flow easily. Please read through to the end as there are many important dates and details in this email!

For those flying:
You will be flying into the Salt Lake City airport on September 21st. Please make your reservations and arrival time as close to 10:00 AM that day as possible. We will be meeting up and traveling together in vans down to Bluff Utah ( approximately 5 1/2 hours).  Once in Bluff there are enough rooms reserved at The Recapture Lodge to house 2 women to a room for the night of September 21st.

We will be on the San Juan river from September 22nd through September 25th. As soon as we are off the river and packed up & ready to go on the 25th (between 1:00-3:00PM ) we will travel back together to SLC where there are a couple of options available for lodging that night.

The cost of the Rafting Journey does not include: airline tickets or lodging the nights on either end of the journey.

Hotel costs are as follows (2 to a room):
Recapture Lodge in Bluff, shared room $50/person
Comfort Suites Airport at Salt Lake City, shared room $50/person.

We need 10 -12 women to make this journey happen. Unfortunately, the trip will be cancelled if we do not have 10 women confirmed by July 22 2016.  Please let us know if you have friends or family that you think would be interested in joining us.

Confirmation and full payment is due by July 29. Please DO NOT make your plane reservations until you receive trip confirmation from us on August 1, 2016.

What is TIMBo?

The Informed Mind Body Program ( TIMBo)
is aimed at people from all walks of life who could benefit from gaining skills and tools to enhance their physical and emotional well-being. It was designed specifically for women to strategically address the effects of stress and trauma on the mind & body. With TIMBo we strive to lead women towards empowerment and recovery by cultivating mindfulness through yoga, meditation and self-inquiry. We will be introducing some of the TIMBo tools which are helpful in enabling healing and self regulation.

A bit more about and from Kay Harris, our river guide:

Kay is a bit of sage, sand, river, wind and rock, worn and weathered by thirty years of navigating rivers, hiking canyons and climbing sandstone cliffs in Southern Utah. His connection to the earth began from his roots in Idaho where he was born. Kay's work has ranged from carpentry to hand-crafted hardwood flutes, and working with troubled youth on extended wilderness/river trips. Kay's life has been one of passion and service. Generosity is his trademark, excellence and education have been his pursuits. He describes our journey through life as one of struggle and learning and says, "it is hoped that before we reach the 'sky', we move closer to center, having found harmony with all of life.
